Understanding Your Planning Sheet

Upon being admitted to the university and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), incoming undergraduates will receive a financial aid planning sheet. A planning sheet includes estimates of educational expenses and an estimate of your financial aid award. You may use the sheet to help plan financially for your first year at CU Denver.

We understand college and financial aid is a new experience for families, and want to help you in understanding the path to fund your education. The following information will explain each section of the planning sheet. If after reviewing the information you have questions, please contact us at FinancialAid@ucdenver.edu, 303-315-1850, or schedule an appointment with one of our financial aid advisors.

Remember, the planning sheet is an estimate of your award. You must complete all requested paperwork to receive a formal award. Review our next steps section to ensure you receive your formal award.
