Strategic Planning
To fill its role in helping solve the many challenges our world is facing, CU Denver is looking to set its strategic course for the next 10 years. Now, more than ever, the world needs what CU Denver provides: big ideas, innovative solutions, and equitable access to a high-quality education for our diverse community.
During her 100 Days of Listening tour, Chancellor Marks heard from more than 1,000 Lynx community members about the pride and momentum at CU Denver. There is a strong, shared desire to build on past progress by establishing a bold, innovative vision of our goals by establishing a bold, innovative vision for 2030.
We have many exceptional qualities we can build upon:
We are poised to be something remarkable, and it is up to us to determine how we capitalize on our strengths. With your input, the steering committee and vision teams will be instrumental in helping CU Denver define our future together.
A steering committee charged by Chancellor Marks is coordinating the eight vision teams and finding ways to deeply engage our community throughout the strategic planning process. Martin Dunn, dean of the College of Engineering, Design and Computing, is serving as chair of the committee.
Seizing this opportunity to create a vision that matches our university’s spirit of innovation and creativity is no small task. By doing so virtually in the midst of a pandemic, that task becomes even greater.
Through a human-centered design innovation approach, a team from our community has crafted a highly innovative process that can rise to the challenge. The Comcast Media and Technology Center and Inworks Innovation Initiative are collaborating to facilitate a unique approach for our community to discover complex opportunities, develop compelling solutions, and deliver strategies that will take CU Denver to the next level by 2030.
