Phase 2
Building from the shared vision developed in Phase 1: Our Vision, we are now generating innovative ideas to define a bold and exciting future for CU Denver by 2030.
How do we live out diversity in a way that makes diversity, equity, and inclusion foundational and central to everything we do?
How do we build a culture that puts supporting, growing, inspiring, and celebrating our people front and center?
How do we leverage existing partnerships and forge new relationships that advance our strategic goals and lead to a strong competitive advantage?
How do we create a holistic student experience that meets our students’ needs and stands out among our peers?
How do we create a defining approach to academics and education that elevates our students and fuels our economy?
How do we make innovation our lifeblood and bring an entrepreneurial mindset to everything we do?
How do we create a prominent research and creative work enterprise that amplifies our impact and recognition?
How can we maximize the many advantages of our location?
These eight vision teams have been asked to address our greatest strengths and generate high-level strategies for how we differentiate CU Denver by 2030. Recommendations and self-nominations for membership on the vision teams were solicited from the CU Denver community in the month of January, with the co-chairs of each vision team determining final membership of their group the week of Jan. 19, 2021.
Through a design innovation process, each vision team will dig deep into our institution in order to bring out the very best ideas our community has to offer. The vision teams will work in earnest from February through April, with their final reports due by April 12, 2021. These reports will be shared with our community for feedback. Ideas in these reports and subsequent feedback will be used to develop a bold and exciting strategic plan for CU Denver in Phase 3.
Just as with Phase 1, your perspectives and input are critical to the success of this process.
Each vision team has been charged with soliciting community input and/or feedback. While coordinated and working closely together to identify opportunities at the intersection of different focus areas, each team will determine how best to engage our community based upon their topic. The primary opportunities for input will be in mid-February as the vision teams solicit initial thoughts about their focus area and then again in mid-March as the vision teams test ideas and potential strategies with our community.
Specific information about how to provide input over the course of Phase 2 will be communicated through CU Denver email and provided on the get involved page.
