The new OIT Service Center ticketing system has launched – same service management tool, Cherwell, but transformed! As we continue to focus on providing value through a customer-focused lens with improved technology, the new ticketing system initiative should better address our university partners’ needs and streamline the overall process.
The improved system will help requests be fulfilled quickly and accurately through our newly designed, easy to navigate, OIT Service Center portal. Staff, faculty and students can log in directly from any device or internet browser to submit a request for help. With the new system, you no longer need to be on campus or logged in to the university’s VPN when requesting assistance. The new OIT Service Center allows you to view your open requests, look at incoming maintenance and outages that may affect your work, and scroll the service catalog to help determine what assistance may be needed. It even offers a quick link to one of the most often received calls at the Service Desk – how do I reset my password! – providing a direct link to reset or update your password on your own.
