The principal objective of the Latinx Undergraduate Leadership Advancement (LULA) Program is to cultivate the next generation of Latinx professionals. The curriculum we teach is focused on skill-building in the areas od professional presentation, emotional intelligence, and becoming politically informed. In addition, the program will emphasize entrepreneurship, economics, implicit bias, and diversity and inclusion. The LULA Program is designed to promote and facilitate constructive dialogue and interaction between Latinx undergraduate students and key community professionals. Latinx students will develop skills in leadership and professionalism as they prepare for life after their undergraduate careers.
To support the leadership development, community engagement, and personal growth of Latinx undergraduate students, motivating them to earn their degrees and empower them to serve their communities.
Have a minimum of fifteen (15) nationally accredited credit hours but no more than sixty (60)
Be enrolled as a degree-seeking undergraduate student at the University of Colorado Denver
Be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester
Have a minimum of 2.5 GPA or better
Be able to demonstrate the potential for leadership, success, and commitment to being a community leader.
Be able to commit to all calendared sessions (see program calendar)
