Lisa has worked in higher education and disability services for more than 20 years. She oversees all aspects of our office including the provision of accommodations for qualified students with disabilities, referrals to campus and community resources, and advocacy and assistance in addressing any attitudinal and/or physical barriers.
Lisa received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University and is a National Certified Counselor. Prior to working in higher education, she worked in both in-patient and out-patient psychiatric settings.
Lisa is the past-chairperson of the Board of Directors for Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic and the past National Coordinator of the Disability Concerns Knowledge Community for NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. Most recently, she has served on the Access Advisory Group for the Denver Art Museum to develop and evaluate specific resources for museum visitors with varying abilities.
