College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, School of Public Affairs | Communications, Sociology, Criminal Justice
Deputy Chief Customer Officer, Governor's Office of Information Technology | Denver, CO

I am the Deputy Chief Customer Officer for the Governor’s Office of Information Technology, providing executive leadership for 17 State agencies across Colorado. I also served as the States’ designee appointed by former Governor Hickenlooper as the Census 2020 Complete Count Committee Chair for Colorado.

I received a BA in Communications from the University of Colorado, Master of Arts in Sociology and a Master’s in Criminal Justice (MCJ) from the University of Colorado Denver, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Regis University. I joined the CU Denver Alumni Board in July 2020 and volunteer because every student and alum needs some level of support. Creating a path to success for our students is something I want to do. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband of 23 years and two daughters.

School of Education and Human Development | Counseling, Community Agency-Career Track
Project Manager at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, National Wind Technology Center

I joined the Board in 2020 and serve on the Philanthropy & Recognition Committee. I'm honored to represent and serve CU Denver as an Alumni Board Member collaborating to create, maintain, and support partnerships between the community, the institution, and its students. As an alumna and former employee (11.5 years), CU Denver has had a significant impact on my life. I served CU Denver for over a decade because of my belief in the organization’s mission and values and the populations it serves. I felt the institution gave me the opportunity to effect change and make lives better for those I worked with and for.

As a first generation college student, obtaining graduate level education was a huge accomplishment for me and my family. Beyond the personal growth and development my formal education has afforded me, it has also had far reaching socioeconomic implications for my life enabling me to access opportunities (e.g. career, financial stability) that I would not have otherwise. I am honored to continue to serve this great institution and look forward to continuing to serve.

Senior Lead Experience Design, Lumen Technologies

I joined the alumni board to pay it forward for those who did the same for me. CU Denver has helped me build a foundation for growth with relationships, skills and resources enabling me to thrive in my career. I am involved in volunteering in the community and appreciate the opportunity to make a positive impact at CU Denver.

School of Education and Human Development | Education, Leadership for Educational Equity
Faculty relationship manager at 2U Inc. | Denver, CO

Born and raised in Indiana, I earned both my bachelor's and master's degree from Indiana University and have worked in higher education for over 15 years at various institutions in Indiana, New Jersey, California, and Colorado. After having both worked and graduated from CU Denver, I was looking for opportunities to give back to the community that was a significant piece of my personal and professional development so I joined the board in 2020. My goal is to help enhance the experience for both current students and alumni by the various projects and programs I work with. I currently work full time for an educational technology company, 2U, and when I'm not working or volunteering with the board, I am most likely playing/chasing/wrestling/ my 5 and 10 year old boys.

Business School | Applied Statistics and Accounting
Atlas Broker, Local Agent Representative | Denver, CO

I joined the Board in 2018, served as the CU Denver Alumni Board President for two years, and remain an active member. Being involved as a student in organizations such as the Student Government Association, the Business Student Ambassador Committee, and as a math tutor at the Learning Resources Center instilled a love for serving the CU Denver community. I plan to continue my lifelong journey of serving the university as an alumnus, because it gave me so many opportunities as a student!

College of Liberal Arts & Sciences | Political Science, Minor Legal Studies
Administrative Assistant at Olson Law Office | Denver, CO

I am from Germany and spent half of my life there. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Legal Studies in 2019. I finished my Masters of Legal Studies and Certificate in Litigation from Washington University of St. Louis in the Summer of 2021. During my time at CU Denver, I valued my professors' and peers' support. Giving back to the community is extremely important because, without CU Denver, I would not be on the career path I am at now. I have an active social life that involves checking out new restaurants with my friends, watching a movie, or reading a good book. If you ever see me around campus, feel free to say hi!
