Beginning Saturday, July 15th,
Move-In Appointment time slots for our City Heights students living on-campus
will be available in the CU Denver Housing Portal!
Students will be able to select one (1) Move-In Appointment per student for access to our Unloading Areas. Please see the Move-In Appointment Selection guide for instructions on how to select!
Update:
Move-In Appointments are now located in the Request Changes Tab next to the Housing Contracting Tab. We made this change due to feedback from our students regarding the process for selecting a Move-In Appointment. This should make selecting a Move-In Appointment more readily accessible.
Any student planning to arrive
later than August 15th at 5:00 pm should e-mail housing@ucdenver.edu to
request late arrival instructions.
Housing and Dining
is unable to support any requests for early move-in dates.
With the volume of students moving
into the residence halls, there will be a 20-minute unloading window for one
vehicle, per student. Our Staff will have Moving Bins available at each of our
On-Campus Housing Locations (City Heights & Lynx Crossing) to help you unload
your belongings quickly.
After your 20-minute window, we
will ask that you relocate your vehicle to another designated parking space.
You are free to continue to unload from those spaces, if there are still items
that need to be brought into the building.
For those not bringing a vehicle to
assist with their move-in, please still sign up for a Move-In Appointment time
slot, as it will help our staff to be better prepared for your arrival.
With 5 weeks until Move-In, it's time to start thinking about what to pack! Please see the City Heights Packing List - 2023-2024 for our updated Packing List. While this is a great start, this is not an extensive list of the items you may need. For clarification on any items you are considering packing, please email residence-life@olucdenver.onmicrosoft.com with your questions.
If you are considering Shipping some of your items, please review the below information.

Residents can pick up all packages directly at the Front Desk. Package delivery for residents will be available starting at 8:00 PM on their Move-In Day and continuing daily when the front desk is open. As we get closer to the start of the year, we start seeing more questions about billing and how payments can be made. Here are some of our more frequently asked questions and resources to assist with any financial concerns you may have.
For any questions about payment, timelines, or available aid, please contact Lynx Central.
As we are getting closer to move-in day, you may be thinking about making some last-minute contract changes. Below are the changes that students may make at this time:
Meal Plan Changes:
You may request One (1) Meal Plan Change Per term. Requests made prior to the Start of Classes will have their billing updated to the correct amount for the entire term. For Requests made after the Start of Classes up until Census Date, September 6th, will be prorated. Meal Plan changes will be made within 24 business hours, while billing will be updated each Friday based on the date of the request.
Parking Changes:
If you are still interested in Parking for the 23-24 academic year and either did not sign up or missed your offer, you are able to add yourself to the waitlist by accessing the Request Changes Tab in the CU Denver Housing Portal. Please note that we send offers via email, so keep an eye out for this information. Receiving an offer will be subject to availability.
Waitlists:
Trying to secure a different space? You may add yourself to the room waitlists for your building. Please note that these spaces are offered via email as we have availability. Offers expire within 48 hours of the initial offer email, so please keep a close eye on your email.
All available contract changes can be found on the Request Changes Tab in the CU Denver Housing Portal. This Tab will be available at 9 am on Tuesday, August 1st.
**Room Assignment Changes**:
We are NOT accepting requests for any room changes prior to Move-In at this time. We will continue to make offers to our waitlist residents, as we have availability. Those will be updated prior to move-in.

STUDENT ID CARDS
The University ID card is also your access card for the residence halls, as it is your bedroom key and meal plan card, so it is important that you have it in your possession and readily available on move-in day.
If you are unable to pick up your ID before Move-In Day, you will be able to pick it up on Move-In Day, as early as 8:00 AM. Again, you will not be able to check in or begin moving in until you have picked up your student ID. Student IDs can only be picked up by the student.
CHECK-IN PROCEDURES
Students must check-in at the check-in table located near the entrance to City Heights to receive access to their bedroom and other essential information.
Each student must check-in in person. Family members and other guests will not be able to check in their student(s) and/or receive keys.
