The CU Denver | Anschutz Staff Council is working hard to advocate for you!
We have heard, both informally and formally through surveys such as the University of Colorado Staff Council Work Climate Survey
, that our constituents want more (and more easily accessible) Career Training & Professional Development opportunities and a Tuition Assistance Benefit that brings us in line with peer institutions and is easier for staff to use for their own education.
Through the Train & Retain Initiative and Staff Council subcommittees, we are working to answer these (and other) calls for action. For example:
- In April 2018, Staff Council and the Professional Development subcommittee piloted the 1st Annual Staff Council Professional Development Symposium. Look for this well-attended, free event to expand in years to come.
- In 2018, Staff Council created the Ad Hoc Employee Tuition Assistance Benefit Committee to make recommendations on improving employee-usage of the Tuition Assistance Benefit.
We will post updates on our advocacy as the initiative takes flight!
