A Record-Breaking Year of Support for CU Denver
CU Denver raised $26.4 million in the 2024–25 fiscal year, the most in campus history. This incredible milestone reflects the growing commitment of our philanthropic community to invest in student success, faculty excellence, and a stronger future for all.
More than 4,300 donors like you came together to create a record-breaking year of giving at CU Denver. This remarkable display of generosity opens new doors for students and faculty alike. Your support also fuels our mission and shapes a brighter future for our students, their families, and our communities. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your commitment to CU Denver.
Chancellor Christensen on Student Success: Vision, Innovation, and Opportunity
Chancellor Kenneth T. Christensen recently sat down with Film and Television student Jamie Chenhall to share his impressions since joining the university and offer his thoughts about CU Denver’s opportunities and future priorities. Topping the list is a commitment to student success.
Students who benefit from wrap-around services like academic advising, tutoring, mentoring, first-year experience initiatives, and wellness programs are more likely to earn their degrees and embark on their chosen careers. This is especially true for first-generation students, who make up nearly half of CU Denver's undergraduates. Support from our philanthropic partners allows us to provide these types of resources, creating avenues for support that attract a diverse and hard-working community of students and helps them stay on track.
Opening Doors for Education Leaders
Inspired by his own doctoral journey,
Dr. Terry Larsen is ensuring the next generation of education leaders has access to the same life-changing opportunities. By generously providing funds to establish endowed doctoral fellowship, he is supporting aspiring education leaders who embody inclusive excellence and are committed to transforming schools and communities.
This spring, the Business School hosted its biennial Celebration of Success, a fundraising gala benefiting student scholarships. The event, which raised more than $460,000 this year, brings donors and the business community together to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and the generosity that helps them succeed.
