Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, difficulty breathing and/or shortness of breath. Most people who become infected experience mild illness and recover, but it can be more severe for others. Steps to protect yourself (and those considered at higher risk) from COVID-19 include: 

The CDC continues to encourage everyone to take some simple steps to protect themselves, and that includes “social distancing.” This means doing your best to stay out of crowded public places where close contact with others may occur, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet) from others when possible.

There is currently no vaccine for COVID-19. The best way to prevent infection is to practice prevention strategies described above and avoid being exposed.
