Limón provides consultation, training to Center Against Sexual and Family Violence
Apr 29, 2020
María Limón, Rural Technical Assistance Manager with the Center on Domestic Violence (CDV) (pictured far left) conducted a week-long consultation and training with the staff at the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence (CASFV) in El Paso. CDV is a technical assistance provider for rural domestic and sexual violence programs nationally. CASFV’s aim is to establish a coordinated community response in Culberson County where local community partners report a painful legacy of impunity when it comes to intimate partner violence. María used a strength-based planning process designed to center CASFV’s strengths in the development of a logic model they reportedly put to use immediately. “I’m always humbled when I work with rural programs; they are able to do so much with so little,” said María. “It’s the favorite part of my job.” Congratulations on this important work, María!
