As summer draws to a close, I’m reminded of how innovation with a human centered focus continues to guide our work at CIDE. This season, we’ve advanced projects like SMILE-i, exploring immersive interaction to support older adults with cognitive impairments, and we’ve launched our new on-demand accessibility training, giving people flexible ways to build accessible design skills. This summer, visiting students joined CIDE’s Socially Assistive Robotics Lab to advance SMILEi (Social Multimodal Interface for Learning and Embodied Intelligence).
