How to add academic program data


The Academic Program widget is a reusable content type. This means that all of the programs displayed with this widget have to first be created in the "Content" area on your dashboard. The follow steps will walk you through creating an academic program.

  1. From your Sitefinity dashboard, click the "Content" tab located at the top of your webpage and select Academic Programs.
  2. Click the option to create an academic program.
  3. Fill out the Program Finder Fields. Be sure that your article a title and degree program title are the exact same name. Create a new program title, if there isn't one already created. 
  4. Next, fill out the Detailed Program Information. 
    1. Areas of Concentration are also reusable content items. This is so they can be used for multiple programs with the same concentration.
    1. To create a requirement, click "Select" under areas of concentration. Choose the option to create a new item and fill out the information and hit done.
    2. You also can search for existing requirements, as not to have duplicates. 
  5. Fill out the "admissions requirements information" and other admissions details in the Admissions Information section.
    1. Admission requirements are also reusable content items. This is so they can be used for multiple programs with the same requirements.
      1. To create a requirement, click "Select" under admissions requirements. Choose the option to create a new item and fill out the information and hit done.
      2. You also can search for existing requirements, as not to have duplicates. 
  6. Lastly, you can add an image under the Related Media Section. 
  7. Publish.
