Data Science Program

Tell Bennett, MD, MS

To be a multidisciplinary, collaborative analytic and computational environment that catalyzes research resulting in innovative applications of complex analytic approaches and development of novel analytic and computational approaches, methods, and tools

The Data Science Program is focused on analyzing big, complex, and messy health data such as those emerging from the Children’s Hospital Colorado and University of Colorado Health electronic medical record systems, Health Data Compass, and the D2V Data & Informatics core. Text, image, and sensor data offer unique challenges for analytic teams and the Data Science Program has particular interest and expertise in gaining clinical insight from these data types. We share our expertise in machine learning, open-source tools, and software engineering by building strong collaborations with other analytic groups on campus.
