Meghan Hernandez, PT, DPT, PCS


Meghan Thomas Bawn Hernandez, PT, DPT, PCS University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, CO; B.S. Health and Exercise Science with Concentration in Sports Medicine and Honors Scholar, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO.  Instructor, Department of Pediatrics and Clinical Faculty, Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, University of Colorado. Dr. Hernandez is board certified in Pediatric Physical therapy. She was the first graduate of the University of Colorado Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency Program and completed a 2nd year of post-doctoral training as a fellow in the JFK Partners Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) fellowship. Her current clinical duties include providing early intervention services on the transdisciplinary ENRICH early intervention team. She serves as clinical faculty in a variety of courses in the University of Colorado Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, including Human Growth & Development, Neuromuscular Conditions, and Examination and Evaluation. Dr. Hernandez has presented to a variety of local organizations on how to identify common motor impairments in children with ASD and intervention strategies that can be used to help improve participation, and she has assisted with a research study that examined the use of a timing and rhythmicity intervention to address motor impairments in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dr. Hernandez also serves as a clinical mentor within the University of Colorado Pediatric PT Residency Program.
