Philadelphia-like acute lymphoblastic leukemia FISH panel is now available at CGL

Ph-like ALL occurs in approximately 15% of children and over 25% of young adults with ALL. It is considered a high-risk subtype of B-cell precursor ALL, associated with poor outcome. This Ph-like ALL FISH panel includes probes targeted to the CRLF2, JAK2, EPOR, CSF1R, ABL1, ABL2, and PDGFRB genes which have been implicated in Ph-like ALL.  Recent studies show that targeted therapies using tyrosine kinase inhibitors against these gene alterations may improve outcomes in these patients, and thus results from this FISH assay may guide appropriate treatment for Ph-like ALL.
