Dental Medicine Research


The CU School of Dental Medicine is ranked in the top 10 U.S. dental schools that receive funding from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR). Research is a vital component of the school's mission, elevating the institution's reputation and ability to further evidence-based clinical care. Our nationally-ranked and nationally-funded research programs focus on Cancer Biology, 3D modeling, and Craniofacial Developmental Biology. The school's collaborative research programs are at the forefront of science and attract significant funding.

Research Collaborations


The Anschutz Medical Campus was designed to facilitate research collaborations. Many dental faculty are also members of the University of Colorado Cancer Center, the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado Boulder and maintain joint appointments in several School of Medicine departments.
