ACTS Preceptor Spotlight

Megan Bright, DDS

Megan Bright, DDS
Where are you from originally? How did you end up in Colorado?

I am originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. I went to dental school in Memphis at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and also completed an AEGD there through NYU Langone (formerly Lutheran LMC). One of the attending dentists in my residency recommended I reach out to Clinica Family Health when I was looking at community dentistry jobs in Colorado because he's friends with our dental VP, An Nguyen. It ended up being a great lead because I've now been at Clinica for six years.

What made you decide to be an ACTS preceptor?

I have always enjoyed teaching/mentoring and thought it would be fun to be an ACTS preceptor, particularly because I would have really appreciated something like ACTS when I was a dental student.

What is your favorite thing about being an ACTS preceptor?

I really enjoy sharing with students how to provide dental care that is evidence-based and patient-centered for everyone in our community, especially the indigent and medically compromised who very often have limited access to care.

What do you do for fun?

I love to travel, read, ski, and sew and am, at best, a fair-weather hiker.
