What we do


From new technologies to new study designs, there are advances in biomedical research every day. Datasets are exploding in size and Biostatisticians are needed to formulate scientific questions, plan and evaluate study designs, and collect and interpret data. Biostatisticians develop statistical methods for clinical trials, observational studies, longitudinal studies, and genomics.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ In Biostatistics and Informatics, there is a focus on the tools that allow you to analyze data for answers. What you can learn


A degree in Biostatistics and Informatics prepares you to enter the growing field of data science and make well-supported inferences from data.
