CU Denver is seeking a provost to serve as chief academic and student affairs officer who will partner closely with Chancellor Marks to help her lead and drive the university forward, together with the leadership team, deans, and faculty. The new provost will lead academic innovation for CU Denver and the advancement of a transformative academic, research, and student success agenda that stems from a new strategic plan. Through this work, CU Denver seeks to optimize its spirit and history of innovation and position itself as a leading, contemporary institution that is nimble and responsive to higher education's changing landscape and the social justice and public health events impacting its community.
In vetting candidates, the search committee looked for a broad range of strengths including the following:

The search firm identified and reached out to over 2,900 people about this position and followed up personally with over 600. The position drew 104 applicants, which the search committee whittled down to a diverse group of 10 strong semi-finalists. Following two days of interviews, the search committee recommended four finalists to the chancellor, and we are eager for you to meet each of them.
