Reflecting on the Events in Ukraine

Dear Lynx community,

This morning, we woke up to the news that Russia has invaded Ukraine. We have watched closely as this situation escalated over the last few months, and I am saddened by this act of international aggression.

Our hearts go out to all people affected by this situation. It’s unsettling to witness the magnitude of this military activity in the context of our world history over the past century. I encourage our community to lean on our campus mental health resources if you need them.

As a community of higher education, we work with societies around the world to share knowledge, promote diplomacy, and manage conflict—an essential charge that we hold dear.

I know that we will all be following these events closely in the coming days. I’m grateful to our faculty experts who are out there bringing us important information and clarity and invite you to register for a March 10 webinar on this topic. And please remember that our Lynx community is here for you as we confront this moment, with so much at stake for the future of our world, together.
