Anschutz Block Party

Dear Anschutz Medical Campus community,

The Anschutz Block Party, scheduled to take place this year on September 16, has been a tradition on this campus since 2013. Thousands of people who work and study on this campus relish the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather of late summer (most of the time), eat delicious food, listen to talented musicians, and most importantly, learn about all of the wonderful things happening in our community.

Regrettably, the coronavirus pandemic has made such a large-scale event - with people in close proximity to one another, connecting face to face, collecting promotional items, and ordering lunch from food trucks - an impossibility. We are slowly bringing people back to campus this summer in a very careful and strategic way so that we can resume activity that is critical to the education, research and clinical missions of the campus. While the Block Party is an important part of our campus culture, the health and safety of our community must be our top priority.

We are saddened to add the Anschutz Block Party to the growing list of events that have been cancelled this summer. But we expect to be back in 2021 and beyond.

Please stay safe and healthy. We'll see you next year!

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS for supporting us over the years!
