 obile devices has created a wholesale shift towards digital payments\, and

 peed. Furthermore\, the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the growth and a
 doption of e-commerce platforms and digital payments worldwide\, thereby m
 aking global payments an important topic for faculty to address in their c
 ourses in International Business\, International Entrepreneurship\, Intern
 ational Marketing\, International Trade and Finance and related fields.\nT
 his workshop will (1) address how the global payments industry is being tr
 ansformed as payment shifts from cash to digital payment options\, (2) hig
 hlight the distinct advantages of digital payments in terms of speed\, mob
 ility\, and global reach\, and (3) feature business cases within digital p
 ayments that empower the creation of new entrepreneurial ventures and faci

 nuel G. Serapio\, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of International Business a
 nd Entrepreneurship at the Business School\, University of Colorado Denver
 . He serves as Faculty Director\, Institute for International Business and
  Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER). In his 
 role as Faculty Director\, Dr. Serapio has led CU Denver CIBER&rsquo\;s In
 ternational Entrepreneurship and Digital Globalization initiatives. Profes
 sor Serapio is co-author of International Entrepreneurship (with Antonella
  Zucchella and Birgit Hagen\, Edward Elgar\, 2018 and forthcoming\, 2022).
  In collaboration with Dr. Patricia McDougall-Covin\, Dr. Serapio has faci
 litated the Faculty Development in International Entrepreneurship Program\
 , an IB pedagogy workshop held in Denver\, Atlanta\, Cleveland\, Bangalore

 uo\;s instant payments service and fastest growing product. Her focus is t
 wo-fold\, bridging the gap between the business and technical worlds\, and
  using data and analytics to optimize Visa Direct&rsquo\;s approval rates 
 for cardholders worldwide. Stacey serves as Lecturer in International Busi
 ness at CU Denver Business School&rsquo\;s MS in International Business (M
 SIB) Program and is a member of the Digital Globalization Instructional an
 d Practice Group at the Institute for International Business\, where she l
