 is an important aspect of international entrepreneurship. The talk by prof
 essor Zander will take its starting point in entrepreneurial cognition and
  the central role of entrepreneurs&rsquo\; subjective means-ends framework
 s in the development of new ventures. Introducing the concept of imaginati
 on\, particular emphasis is then placed on how imagination feeds into our 
 understanding of entrepreneurial internationalization and how that underst
 anding differs from traditional accounts of the internationalization proce
 ss. What are the implications of imagination for expected patterns in the 
 timing and modes of internationalization? To what extent can imagination b
 e an asset or liability for internationalizing entrepreneurs?&nbsp\;\nDr. 
 Ivo Zander\nIvo Zander is the Anders Wall Professor of Entrepreneurship at
  the Department of Business Studies\, Uppsala University. He received his 
 PhD from the Institute of International Business\, Stockholm School of Eco
 nomics\, and has been a visiting scholar at the Harvard Business School\, 
 SCANCOR at Stanford University\, and Macquarie Graduate School of Manageme
 nt. Before moving into the field of entrepreneurship\, professor Zander co
 nducted research on regional agglomerations and the internationalization o
 f research and development in multinational corporations. His current rese
 arch interests include the entrepreneurial dynamics of accelerated interna
 tionalization\, the evolution of advanced foreign subsidiaries of the mult
 inational corporation\, and corporate entrepreneurship.\nInternational Exe
