 registration\n\nClick here to RSVP\nAbout the webinar:\n&nbsp\;\nChina&rsq
uo\;s increasing nationalism\, in words and deeds\, have given the world c
ause for concern. China&rsquo\;s moves threaten Taiwan&rsquo\;s airspace a
nd possibly its independence. Impositions over governance in Hong Kong hav
e been discouraging. Contention over strategic islands and waterways in th
e South China Sea have left Vietnam\, the Philippines\, Indonesia\, and Br
unei wondering about the safety of commerce and their borders. Oppression
in Xinjiang threatens to enflame Western China. Border skirmishes in the H
imalayas have raised tensions with India. Tit-for-tat tariffs and accusati
ons have aggravated relations with Australia. Recognizing the implications
of the mega Belt and Road Initiative\, Europe struggles to evolve policie
s on Chinese imports\, while America worries that its international leader
ship is fading. In an age of globalization\, where goods\, people and huma
n ideas and aspirations are meant to flow freely\, China&rsquo\;s unrestra
ined ambitions are raising eyebrows everywhere. This Distinguished Lecture
will therefore ask: How has this nationalism changed the prospects for co
llaboration? And how can business people\, scholars\, and political offici
als find positive pathways to deal with this new China?\nThe University of
Colorado Denver&rsquo\;s own Professor of Communication and Director of U
ndergraduate Studies\, Stephen Hartnett\, will be a panelist in the discus
 sion.\nFor more information about the lecture\, visit:\nhttps://shidler.ha
