 examine ethics in international business through a practical lens. She wil
 l explore the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Principles and how they are a
  part of good business practices by diving into real life examples of acti
 ons companies have taken\, focusing on the tough challenges businesses fac
 e when doing business in other countries\, and analyzing the decisions the
 ir leaders have made. Jacqui will evaluate other paths they could have cho
 sen which would have followed the Principles more effectively\, how such c
 hoices would have changed their course of business\, why they followed a d
 ifferent path\, and how to get them to operate more ethically.\n\n\nJacqui
  Beckett\nJacqui is currently the President of Beckett Ethics &amp\; Compl
 iance International\, a global company helping companies create and implem
 ent compliance and ethics programs that work around the world. As part of 
 her business\, Jacqui brings practical program implementation advice to co
 mpanies\, organizations and government departments in need all over the wo
 rld. She also has served as a member of the World Economic Forum&rsquo\;s 
 Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) technical advisory team an
 d as such has helped them update the PACI principals\, assisted with PACI&
 rsquo\;s Foundations in Transparency in India initiative\, and is currentl
 y the co-chair of their Trust and Integrity initiative in Mexico\, Argenti
 na\, and South Africa.\nPrior to Launching Beckett Ethics &amp\; Complianc
 e International\, Jacqui was with Newmont Mining Corporation\, a publicly 
 traded global hard rock mining company for over eleven years where she bui
 lt the companies compliance and ethics program. Prior to that she was with
  CenturyLink\, a telecommunications company\, for four years. Prior to her
  corporate work she practiced law in two law firms and clerked for two Uni
 ted States federal judges. She has authored numerous articles and lectured
  on ethics and compliance and practical global program implementation at n
 umerous seminars all over the world.\n\n\n\nJacqui earned a bachelor&rsquo
 \;s degree in 1988 from Duke University where she studied political scienc
 e and comparative area studies\, a cross disciplinary major where she comp
 ared cultures and people&rsquo\;s activities in different parts of the wor
 ld. In 1993\, she earned her J.D.\, Doctorate of Law\, from Georgetown Uni
 versity and is currently licensed to practice law in the United States.\n\
