The CU Denver Sentry provides students with information about campus issues and events, striving to incorporate investigative reporting, feature articles and items of general interest to its campus readership. American Indian Student Services

Campus, Response, & Evaluation Team (CARE)
CARE provides resources and information to faculty, staff or student community members who are confronted with individuals who may be threatening, disruptive or otherwise problematic. The team provides guidance and consultation and may make referrals to appropriate campus or community resources.

Black Student Services
The Black Student Services Program offers a uniquely-designed network of support services to assist students in all phases of their educational career at CU Denver. Since its inception in 1969, Black Student Services has helped hundreds of students with admission into undergraduate and graduate programs, academic counseling, and peer support services. The program offers juniors and seniors the opportunity to get a head-start on college by earning college credit while still in high school.

Health Insurance
The University of Colorado Denver has a mandatory health insurance policy for all enrolled international students. Unfortunately we do not offer health insurance for domestic students.
Honors and Leadership Program
The UHL program provides exceptional, highly-motivated undergraduate students with both a traditional academic honors curriculum and an honors program in leadership studies.

Student Government Association
The association serves as a voice for students. Similar to the structure of the U.S. government, SGA has executive, legislative and judicial branches. Executives and Senators are elected each year in the spring. SGA assists students with information concerning student clubs and organizations, campus events, issues concerning student status and other information of general interest to students. SGA also provides students assistance with grievances and the opportunity to become more closely involved with the university community through active participation in student government or through service on university, tri-institutional and Auraria committees.

Veteran Student Services
The office is the initial contact point for eligible veterans and dependent students wishing to seek a post-secondary education or CU Denver students who wish to use Veterans Administration educational benefits. This office assists students with VA paperwork and problems associated with the receipt of VA-related educational benefits. The OVSS maintains proper certification for eligible students to ensure that each student meets VA requirements for attendance, course load and content, and other regulations necessary to receive educational benefits payments. In addition, the OVSS provides VA vocational rehabilitation referrals, information on VA tutorial assistance and VA work/study positions for qualified veterans.

Writing Center
The Writing Center at CU Denver and the Anschutz Medical Campus is a free resource available to all university students who wish to improve as writers. Services include in-person and online one-on-one appointments; an asynchronous Drop Box for graduate students and all students on the Anschutz Medical Campus; workshops on a variety of topics (for example: citation, literature reviews, C.V.s, and more); and downloadable handouts, podcasts, and videos. Professional Writing Consultants will work on any type of writing and any aspect of the writing process, including (but not limited to) idea-generation, organization, thesis development, source usage, and grammar. Students bring in documents ranging from C.V.s. and personal statements to research essays and capstone projects to rhetorical analyses and grant applications. All writing is welcome. Club Sports
Club Sports are teams created and organized through student leadership to promote skill or interest in a particular sport. These teams are often competitive due to regularly scheduled practices and the use of part-time coaches. Club Teams frequently choose to compete against other schools across Colorado and the nation.
