What is DARS?
Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) is web-based software used by advisors and students to track students' degree progress throughout their academic career. DARS produces a computer-generated degree audit. The degree audit uses CU Denver completed course work, CU Denver courses in progress, and transfer course work to give a clear representation of courses needed to complete the degree.
Advisors use DARS as a powerful tool that can help answer the oft asked question; “What courses do I need to graduate?” Advisors using DARS find it allows more time to focus on the student and provide quality advising.
Students use DARS to track their degree progress and view their transfer work. DARS gives students the ability to more accurately plan for the future. They know what options they have when choosing course work and can tailor their choices to better fit their goals.
