This is the final newsletter of this academic year. I wish you all well during Finals Week. I hope you all have an enjoyable summer and take time to relax . We will be in the Office all summer long, so if you are taking summer classes or going to be on campus this summer stop by to see us. We will be coordinating a summer activity for the Daniels Fund scholars, please keep an eye on your email, and we will give you the details. It has been a great year with the Daniels Fund Scholars and I am looking forward to next semester!
Greetings Daniels Fund Scholars!! This is the third newsletter published, and we would like your feedback. It is my intentions that these newsletters are informing, as well as enjoyable to read. If you have any ideas to enhance the newsletter, please share.I look forwarded to seeing you all at the spring dinner April 22, at 6:30pm. Please if you haven't turned in your Y3W (Your 3 Words), please do so. We would like to present this at the dinner. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance, my door is always open!
I hope you all had an excellent spring break, and caught up on sleep and relaxation. Y3W ‘Your Three Words’ is required for this year’s dinner. This project must be turned in by today, so if you have not yet done this, do so immediately. Contact Rahwa with any questions, as she is in charge of this project. We are also testing ways to communicate and spend an enormous amount of time placing info in the newsletter, website, Facebook and Evite. Please be courteous and professional by reading the information and properly responding (i.e. answer an Evite either way! )This is part of your requirement to the program. Constructive feedback on the process is helpful. Mary Haynes will be meeting with students this week in the Scholarship Resource Office on campus. If you need to meet with Mary please take advantage and schedule an appointment.
Thanks for a great orientation, and I hope you all have had a great start to your semester! It is such a pleasure to know and work with all of you. In an effort to assist you at the University I am experimenting with different ways to get you information both timely and efficiently. Please give us feedback as the semester progresses as to what is working. With that said, please never hesitate to contact the office with ANY issue or just stop by and say HI. Facebook is another avenue that the Scholarship Resource Office is utilizing to reach out to Daniels Scholars.
