David Griesinger

I was born and raised in Denver, CO and am currently finishing my degree in Recording Arts at CU Denver. I have lived in Colorado my whole life and grew up in a suburb of Denver. I have always loved music, starting on guitar when I was 11, I have been recording and playing music for as long as I can remember. When I was 16, I started my own production company with a few friends called Pondy Ponderson Productions and we made short films for fun but it wasn’t until my junior year of college, when I took a “Location Sound” topics class that I found what truly inspired me to study music. Location sound combined my love for being outside and active with my passion for recording. I am currently getting ready to graduate in the fall of this year and we’ll see what happens from there!

My future career goal is to become a top Biomedical Researcher or get into Biotechnology.

James Nunez

Hello, my name is James Nunez and I am a 2007 Daniels scholar. I am graduating this semester with a major in Biology. This upcoming fall, I will be attending graduate school at UC Berkeley to pursue a Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. I’ve had a great time at UCD and I’ve met the most amazing people here. The Daniels Fund has definitely played a huge role in my life and I don’t think I will be at the position I am now without the scholarship. I feel that although my four years of the scholarship is coming to an end, being a Daniels scholar is a title that I will always carry with pride for the rest of my life.

Julianne DuMond

After finishing my undergraduate degree in Psychology, I hope to attend graduate school at Naropa University in order to pursue a master’s degree in ecopsychology. Eventually I’d like to obtain a Ph.D. in ecopsychology or a related field.

Rahwa Barihe

Hello my name is Rahwa Barihe and I’m a Daniels Scholar. I have been attending the University of Colorado Denver for several years now, and I’m currently a junior obtaining a degree in Biology and Philosophy. I spend the majority of my time studying, watching movies, attempting to learn how to dance, and spending time with close friends and family.
