Apply for Aid - Fall 2013

FAFSA School Code: 004508

New, transfer, and continuing students who will be enrolling in the 2013 Fall semester will need to apply for financial aid for the 2013-2014 school year.

You must be eligible to apply for financial aid, so make sure that you meet the Eligibility Requirements before applying.

IMPORTANT:

  • Read all instructions very carefully to avoid delays in processing your financial aid.
  • The University needs your Social Security Number for financial aid processing.
  • Financial aid processing can take 6-8 weeks so don't delay.
  • Remember you must be enrolled at least half-time to receive financial aid.
    • Undergraduate: 6 credit hours
    • Graduate: 3 credit hours
    • Health Professional: 5 credit hours

To apply for financial aid:

File your 2012 Federal Tax Return first, allow the IRS about 3 weeks to process your forms and then, complete your 2013-14 FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval tool. This tool is simple, easy and quick to use.

Complete the 2013-14 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • All students must have a Federal Student Aid PIN.
  • In addition, one parent of a dependent student (as determined by the FAFSA) must have a Federal Student Aid PIN to sign the FAFSA electronically.
  • Your PIN will be good for the number of years that you are applying for financial aid from your undergraduate to your graduate programs.
  • Store your PIN in a secure location and do not share it with anyone.

TIP: Allow up to an hour to gather your information and complete the FAFSA.

Need Access
Dental Medicine, Medicine, and Pharmacy students should submit the Need Access application to be considered for need-based financial aid.
