Auraria Field (map)
WEATHER UPDATE (5.16 6:30 a.m.)
The National Weather Service forecast still calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning, but it appears that the rain is more likely to arrive after noon. No changes to our outdoor ceremony are currently anticipated. We ask that all graduates, guests, faculty and administration prepare for possible rain on Saturday morning and dress accordingly. Ponchos will be provided to all graduates and faculty if needed.
Should the forecast predict severe weather or dangerous conditions, we may be forced to implement our contingency plan. If the severe weather plan is implemented, all registered participants will be notified by email and an announcement will be made on this site no later than 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
Severe Weather Plan
In the event of severe weather or dangerous conditions, the main ceremony on Auraria Field will be cancelled and we will hold two ceremonies in the PE/Event Center Gym. Seating in the PE/Event Center is limited and admission for guests will be by ticket only. Graduates do not need tickets. The first ceremony at 10 a.m. will be for graduates of the College of Architecture and Planning and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The second ceremony at 2 p.m. will be for graduates of the School of Public Affairs, School of Education & Human Development, the Business School, College of Engineering and Applied Science and the College of Arts & Media.
If it has been announced that the outdoor ceremony has been cancelled, graduates will check in for their respective ceremony in the PE/Event Center lobby 1 hour and 15 minutes before the ceremony start time. Graduates will receive a reader card, commencement program and two guest tickets for the gym. There will be no processional and graduates will take seats in rows designated by school and college on the gym floor. All graduates must be in their seats 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony.
We understand that this fair and equitable severe weather ticketing system may leave some families with fewer tickets than desired. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding of our indoor space
limitations and invite your additional guests to view
the indoor ceremonies in multiple overflow venues on campus or wherever they choose by clicking this link.

ceremonies will be streamed live in the following venues on campus:Student Commons Building
