Fall Graduation on the Downtown Denver Campus - The Ceremony
If all your graduation requirements have been met, register to participate in the fall graduation ceremony HERE SEPTEMBER 30TH - NOVEMBER 29TH. Avoid a late fee by registering before November 16th.
The online registration site will allow graduates to order caps and gowns, RSVP for post commencement receptions, purchase Alumni merchandise, and more using a major credit card. Once registered, graduates will receive a printable email confirmation and will have the ability to add commencement events to an Outlook Calendar.
Graduates will be able to pick up their caps and gowns at the Colorado Convention Center Friday, December 11th between 1-7 pm in the lower main lobby. Graduates will be able to return their gowns in the same location following the ceremony (the cap and tassel may be kept as a momento).
Graduates will report to their respective college/school check-in area at 7:45 am in Upper Hall B. The main ceremony will take place in Upper Hall A. Doors will open for guest seating at 7:45 am. The ceremony will last approximately 2 hours. There are no tickets purchased for the ceremony, no limit on number of guests and the seating is first come, first serve.
The Lightrail drops off directly in front of the Convention Center. Parking at the Convention Center costs $12 per vehicle. Free parking will be available on the Auraria Campus in lots H, L, M, R, N, D, and the Tivoli.

Post Commencement receptions will take place immediately following the ceremony at the locations below:
- College of Architecture and Planning: CU Denver Building, Room 470 (1250 14th Street)
- College of Arts and Media: Courtyard Marriott (16th and Curtis Street)
- Business School: Colorado Convention Center, Rooms 505/506/507
- School of Education and Human Development: Colorado Convention Center, Rooms 405/406/407
- College of Engineering and Applied Science: North Classroom Atrium, 1st Floor (Auraria Campus)
- College of Liberal Arts and Sciences: Colorado Convention Center, Rooms 401/402/403/404
- School of Public Affairs: Baur's Ristorante (1512 Curtis Street)
Spring Graduation on the Anschutz Medical Campus
Welcome to the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus commencement website! This website contains all valuable information for all August, December and May graduates and their families.
The UC Denver Anschutz Medical Campus does not hold a summer nor a winter commencement ceremony, therefore graduates from the previous summer semester, as well as those graduating in December, are eligible to attend the ceremony.
General Commencement Information:
- No admission tickets are required for the commencement ceremony.
- There is not a limit to the number of invited guests that will be allowed to attend.
- Please check with your appropriate college / school for their requirements for the individual convocation ceremonies.
- Seating is available on a first-come basis.
- University President Bruce Benson and Chancellor M. Roy Wilson are the speakers at the main commencement ceremony.
