Faculty are asked to register for the commencement ceremony even if regalia is not needed. Registering ensures that enough seating is provided on stage and allows us to contact you with pertinent information about the ceremony.
CAP & GOWN PICK-UP FOR FACULTY
Requested regalia will be available for pick-up beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the pre-commencement breakfast in Room 2500 of the Student Commons Building (1201 Larimer St.). Rented regalia will be returned to the same location following the ceremony.
A delicious breakfast buffet is served to faculty and platform party members prior to the ceremony from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in Room 2500 of the Student Commons Building. Please indicate if you would like to enjoy the breakfast when you register for the ceremony.
Faculty interested in purchasing their own regalia can contact Diane Phillips with Willsie Cap & Gown at 720-273-7729 or email@example.com. Order early to avoid rush charges.

SEVERE WEATHER PLAN
The commencement ceremony is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine. As long as there is no threat posed to students, families and other participants in commencement, the ceremony will continue as scheduled (although the ceremony may be abbreviated in the event of rain). We encourage all participants to dress appropriately.
If severe weather is encountered, one of two options will be implemented:
1. If severe weather is expected to clear up, the ceremony start time will be delayed up to, but no longer than, two hours.
2. If severe weather is expected to continue, the contingency plan will be implemented, the outdoor ceremony will be cancelled, and degrees will be conferred at alternate indoor locations on the Auraria Campus throughout the day.
A determination to implement the severe weather plan will be made by 6 a.m. on the morning of commencement. Instructions will be updated on the university weather hotline, (877) 463-6070, on the CU Denver Commencement website
, and via an email blast to all online registrants no later than 7 a.m.
