Graduates will be asked during the registration process to identify any special accommodations that may be needed to participate fully in the commencement ceremony. There are ramps leading to the stage on both sides to accommodate wheelchairs and anyone who is unable to negotiate stairs. Sign language interpreters can be arranged as needed. If you would like to speak with the commencement coordinator about special arrangements for the ceremony, please email email@example.com.
Reserved seating is available for guests in wheelchairs as well as those who are hearing or vision impaired. A sign language interpreter will be present during the ceremony. Each graduate may request up to eight (8) ADA tickets during the registration process.
Designated handicapped parking is available for free in the Holly Lot on campus with a valid state-issued handicapped placard or license plate or a parking pass issued by the Commencement Office. Parking passes will be included with ADA seating tickets if mobility-impaired guests are indicated during registration. All disability parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. A pass does not guarantee space in the Holly Lot.
Golf carts will shuttle guests between the Holly Lot and Auraria Field before and after the ceremony. Please note that due to high demand there can be up to a 30-minute wait for a shuttle back to the Holly Lot following the ceremony.
If you have already registered and need to request ADA tickets, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
. Requests will be filled as space allows.
Wheelchairs are not available for rent on the Auraria Campus. Click here for a list of companies in the area that rent medical equipment. This list is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute an endorsement of any of the companies listed.
