ADA Accommodations

Information for Graduates and Guests with Special Needs

Graduates

Graduates will be asked during the registration process to identify any special accommodations that may be needed to participate fully in the commencement ceremony. There are ramps leading to the stage on both sides to accommodate wheelchairs and anyone who is unable to negotiate stairs. Sign language interpreters can be arranged as needed. If you would like to speak with the commencement coordinator about special arrangements for the ceremony, please email commencement@ucdenver.edu.

Guests

Reserved seating is available for guests in wheelchairs as well as those who are hearing or vision impaired. A sign language interpreter will be present during the ceremony. Each graduate may request up to eight (8) ADA tickets during the registration process.

Designated handicapped parking is available on all three levels of the Colorado Convention Center parking garage. A valid state issued handicapped placard or license plate is required. All disability parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and requires payment at the automated pay stations.

If you have already registered and need to request ADA tickets, please email commencement@ucdenver.edu. Requests will be filled as space allows.

Wheelchairs are available for rent in the My Office Business Center in Lobby A of the Colorado Convention Center. Please call 720-904-2300 for more information.
