Scheduling Instructions


Before scheduling with the CTRC Nutrition Core, please keep in mind the following...
  • Requests must be made at least 7 business days prior to the diet pick-up date
  • Requests must fall within our regular business hours
  • The diet pick up date must be no more than 2 days prior to the diet start date
  • A separate request is required for each outpatient lead-in diet and/or meal
  • You must provide the name and phone number of a study contact that can be reached at the time of the scheduled diet pick up, or study visit.

Scheduling an Outpatient Diet

  1. Click on Calendar in Outlook.
  2. Create a New Meeting.
  3. Address the meeting request To… CTRC.Nutrition@ucdenver.edu (Nutrition, CTRC).
  4. Fill in the Subject line exactly as follows: COMIRB#, subject’s last name, first name (dietary lead-in dates, or Test Meal as applicable).
    Example: 14-1400 Doe, John (10/6 - 10/8)
  5. Enter the Location from which the diet will be picked up. Please use the following abbreviations: Leprino Office Building (LOB), Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion (AIP), or Children’s Hospital Cafeteria (CHCO). Please review business hours and pick-up locations before making your selection.
  6. Enter the ½ hour to 1 hour time frame during which the diet will be picked up. Requests that extend beyond 1 hour will be declined until a more specific time frame can be arranged.
  7. Please copy and paste this exact body of text (see template below) into your appointment request and complete only the information that pertains to your study:

Scheduling an Inpatient Diet

 

For sake of ease please go ahead and use the same form you will submit to the CTRC Inpatient unit to schedule dietary services. Please be sure to fill out the dietary portion (bottom left) and send the form to CTRC.nutrition@ucdenver.edu.

  1. Complete the bottom left portion on the CTRC Inpatient Request Form.
  2. Use the left column to schedule any outpatient meals or diets preceding the study visit
  3. Use the right column to schedule inpatient study meals.
  4. Be sure to include the diet pick-up Date, a ½ hour to 1 hour time frame during which the diet will be picked up, and the Location from which the diet will be picked up.
  5. Please copy and paste this exact body of text (see template below) into the Notes section of this form and complete only the information that pertains to your study.

Scheduling an Anthropometric, Metabolic Cart, or Other Nutrition Service

  1. Click on Calendar in Outlook.
  2. Create a New Meeting.
  3. Address the meeting request To… CTRC.Nutrition@ucdenver.edu (Nutrition, CTRC).
  4. Fill in the Subject line exactly as follows: COMIRB#, subject’s last name, first name (nutrition service requested).
    Example: 14-1400 Doe, John (Waist circumference measurement)
  5. Enter the Location where the appointment will take place, and the appointment time frame.
  6. Please copy and paste this exact body of text (see template below) into your appointment request and complete only the information that pertains to your study.
