Child & Maternal Health

Regulatory, Research Subject and Study Design

Research in children, infants and pregnant women is vitally important to improve lifelong health. Many diseases have their beginning early in life. The Child & Maternal Health (CMH) Program wants to assure that all research we support is of the highest scientific and ethical quality. Our focus on CMH Regulatory, Research Subjects and Study Design is designed to accomplish this through two important functions.

Investigator Information

The CMH works with investigators throughout the planning phase of their research and advises about study design and conduct to assure that the research is of high scientific quality and that the research adequately protects all research participants.

Parent and Participant Information

One of the CMH’s most important functions is to serve as a contact for all research subjects who have questions or concerns and to design and implement programs to improve participant understanding of research. We can help you as a participant, find contact information, and access many resources and useful materials.
