Neonatal Research

For over 30 years the Neonatal Clinical Translational Research Program has provided research opportunities in preterm and term newborn infants for many novel and ground breaking investigations, many of which have resulted in new treatments and have led the field in translational neonatal medicine.

Neonatal patients as research subject participants are studied in their optimal clinical environment on a scatter bed basis by the CTRC research nurses at University of Colorado Hospital NICU and Newborn Nursery, Children’s Hospital Colorado NICU, and affiliated hospitals and institutions, including Kaiser Permanente (Saint Joseph Hospital).

Neonatal Research

For all our unique studies in newborn infants and children, Research Education, Training and Advocacy provides specialized education and training for investigators for COMIRB protocols and consent form development.
