The Executive Branch consists of the President and Vice President. The President, in conjunction with the Vice President, oversees the day-to-day operations of the Student Government. The President and Vice President also serve as the liaison between the faculty, administration and students of CU Denver by answering questions, responding to complaints and providing information to all appropriate parties.
President Gordon Hamby

Gordon is a Senior at the University
of Colorado Denver and is majoring in Communications with emphasis in diversity
and social service. He is also pursuing a minor in Ethnic Studies. Gordon’s
extra-curricular involvement with the University includes serving as President
in the Student Government Association, Peer Advocate Leader (PAL) mentor Group
Leader, member of the Ethnic Studies Student Organization, and Workshop Panelist/Mentor
with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund Chapter. Other University related activities
include serving on the Student Fee Review Committee for the 2011/12 school year,
Tuition Appeal Committee for 2012, and partnering with international students
through the Global Alliance Project. Through the University President’s office,
Gordon is also a member of CU Advocates. Recently, Gordon has been rewarded for
his outreach and advocacy efforts by being awarded the University of Colorado
Denver’s Rosa Parks Diversity Award. Gordon takes great pride in serving the CU
Denver population, and is excited to extend that service through the office of
Student Body President.

Vice President Natalia Gayou

Natalia, a Denver Bound Scholar from Texas, is a Junior Public Health major with
minors in Biology and French. She has worked with University of Colorado
Denver's Student Government since her freshmen year as Vice-Chair of Freshmen
Council and then continued her work as Chair of Events and Planning and the
Mascot Sub-Committee. This year, she hopes to further encourage the creation of
a community on our campus and would like to make Student Government more
accessible to students. She plans on increasing knowledge of current events on
campus in order to facilitate students' involvement. Natalia is very excited to
serve as Student Body Vice-President and welcomes students to come into their
office at any time.
