The University of Colorado Denver Student Government Association (CU Denver SGA) safeguards the rights and interests of all students, while recognizing and respecting the strength and diversity of each individual student. As the collective voice of the student body, we lead students with honesty, integrity, and respect. The CU Denver SGA promises accountability to its constituency by modeling effective and responsive shared governance that enriches the quality of student life.
The CU Denver SGA is comprised of three branches, much like the federal government: Executive, Judicial and Legislative Branches. Under the Legislative Branch resides the four standing committees that make up the sitting membership of Senate: Events and Planning, Legislation and Outreach, Finanace and Funding, and College Council. We also have advisory committees and councils which are: the Student Fee Review Committee (SFRC), the Student Advisory Committee to the Auraria Board (SACAB), and First-Year Council.
We utilize these committees and memberships to advocate for students in several different capacities. Each member of SGA holds regular office hours, during which you may schedule a meeting with them. We also hold regular meetings on Fridays from 12pm-2pm in Tivoli 329 (Senate Chambers) that is the entirety of SGA.
Feel free to stop by our office anytime to speak with your student representatives in person at the Tivoli Student Union, Room 301. We are open Mondays through Fridays.
