Inactive Status

Organizations that become inactive due to member graduation or lack of interest will continue to be listed as a UC Denver organization as a "currently inactive" group for a period of up to 12 months. If interested students come forward within that 12 month time period, the organization can re-apply for recognition. If an organization remains inactive for more than 12 months, the Office of Student Life may declare it an archived group. Such an organization can be restarted by following the procedure outlined for new student organizations.


Organization recognition status will be suspended if an organization fails to meet the recognition deadline dates or fails to re-apply for recognition in the fall or spring semester. For the purpose of organization recognition, suspension includes losing all privileges of reserving space, accessing funds, advertising, and planning events until the requirements are met. Organizations may also be suspended for violating State/University policy.
