Spring Fling & Fall Fest

Start off each semester with a festive mood!

Every Spring and Fall semester we dedicate a couple of days to put together a festival that showcases CU Denver student clubs, CU Denver offices and businesses from around the Denver metro area. This is one of our signature events that happens once every semester!
Spring Fling 2012
Rules & Guidelines
The Auraria Campus is once again gearing up for our annual Spring Fling sponsored by UC Denver Office of Student Life, Metro State Office of Student Activities, Community College of Denver Student Life and the Tivoli Student Union. The two day event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 19, 2012. During each day student clubs and campus departments promote their organization while non-profit and for-profit vendors invite the campus community to learn more about the products and services they provide.

Our campus population approaches nearly 40,000 students, who commute daily to the campus. This event is a perfect opportunity to promote and advertise your business to our students, faculty and staff.

For 2012 Spring Fling, our main sponsors are still to be determined.

The cost for the event is as follows:
  1. Student Organization: No Charge
  2. Campus Department: No Charge
  3. Non Profit Organization: No Charge
  4. Arts and Crafts Vendor: $50/day
  5. Food Vendor: $100/day
  6. Corporate Vendor: Sponsorship Levels - Click Here for Sponsorship Letter (DOC)

Payments can be made in person at the Office of Student Life in Tivoli 303 either in cash or check. Checks can also be mailed to:

University of Colorado Denver
ATTN: Spring Fling
PO Box 173364
Campus Box 83
Denver, CO 80217

Please note that this payment is non-refundable. Payment SHOULD be received on or before Thursday, April 12, 2012 in order to participate in the event. As a reminder, student organizations CANNOT sponsor other vendors. Every vendor is responsible for the charges as well as the material on the tables.

Although materials may be placed on tables for students to pick up, we do require that the material be professionally acceptable. Presented information must not contain profanity or explicit images. As a reiteration, NO PROFANE IMAGES. We appreciate your help and cooperation with this matter.

Set up begins at 7:00 am on Wednesday, April 18 and at 8:00am on Thursday, April 19.

Tables are on a first come first serve basis for BOTH DAYS of the event in each designated section. No overnight reservations can be made on the tables. UCD, MSCD, CCD and AHEC are NOT responsible for items left unattended, lost or stolen at all times. This includes items left overnight. We advise all not to leave items unattended at any time.

VENDORS MUST SET UP THEIR BOOTHS IN THEIR ASSIGNED AREAS ONLY. VENDORS WHO ARE SET UP IN THE WRONG LOCATION WILL BE REQUIRED TO MOVE TO THEIR PROPER LOCATION, UNASSISTED.

Each vendor will be provided with a table and two chairs. Participants may request more than a single table within the comments section of the application, yet these requests are not guaranteed to be granted. The decision will be made depending on several different factors.

Vendors are more than welcome to have music at their tables yet the volume must be minimal. Complimentary to Spring Fling, we will have bands playing on stage. Due to this circumstance, we advise vendors to maintain the volume of their music at a minimum. We also ask that vendors be respectful and courteous to their neighboring tables in all aspects including the volume of their music.

Vendors/groups may bring their own tent provided that the dimensions do not exceed a 10ft by 10ft area. All vendors/groups who need power MUST make arrangements with the Office of Student Life by emailing us at studentlife@ucdenver.edu. Due to the limited areas of electricity, we will reserve tables for those that require electricity. As courtesy, please do not remove signs that have been reserved by CU DENVER OFFICE OF STUDENT LIFE AND METRO STATE OFFICE OF STUDENT ACTIVITIES.

Supplies can be loaded and unloaded at the Tivoli Student Union parking lot (a map will be emailed to you). Please do NOT leave your vehicles unattended as you will be ticketed. For your convenience, we will be selling parking passes for the Tivoli parking garage on the day of the event.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Office of Student Life via email at studentlife@ucdenver.edu or by phone at 303.556.3399.

We look forward to working with your business to make this event a success.
