Health Center at Auraria

Students, faculty and staff on Auraria Campus are eligible for services. No insurance is necessary. Patients must be prepared to show a validated current semester I.D card each time they check in at the Health Center front desk. All new patients will need to complete a Patient Information Sheet and a Health History Form. Please note that students on Medicare and Medicaid are not permitted to use the Health Center except for initial emergency care. These benefits plans are federally regulated and patients on either of these programs must use approved Medicare and Medicaid facilities/providers. However, all Health Education sessions offered throughout the year are open to everyone.

Campus Recreation at Auraria

Campus Recreation at Auraria (CRA) provides fitness, health, leadership and recreational sports to students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests of the Auraria Campus.

The Campus Recreation at Auraria is a student fee funded facility in which all students can come and use for free. This facility offers many great ways to stay in physical shape while having fun from its many choices. Which are listed below:

PE Events

  • Twenty five yard lap pool with driving well
  • 5000 square foot Fitness Center
  • 2500 square foot Fitness Loft
  • Three indoor basketball and multi use courts
  • Climbing wall
  • Two squash courts
  • Two racquet ball courts
  • Six outdoor tennis courts
  • Multipurpose activity spaces special events

The Phoenix Center at Auraria

The The Pheonix Center at Auraria Provides response and support services, education and training, and resource referral for the Auraria Campus community on issues of interpersonal violence (IPV). It serves the University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State College of Colorado Denver, the Community College of Denver and the Auraria Higher Education Center.
Its mission is:

To implement campus response services, provide education, and facilitate dialogue related to IPV in the Auraria community.
