Freshman Orientation | Fall 2013


Congratulations on your admission to the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver)!

Freshman Requirement
All first-time freshmen are required to participate in orientation. All first-time freshmen will meet with their academic advisor and register for first-semester courses at orientation.
 
For the purposes of New Student Orientation (NSO), first-time freshmen are students that have NOT completed any college course(s) AFTER earning their high school diploma or GED.
 
Participating in NSO is your next step to officially becoming a CU Denver student. Orientation for first-time freshmen is a one-day program that includes the following activities:
  • Academic advising.
  • Registration for courses.
  • Introduction to campus resources and policies.
  • Opportunity to meet with CU Denver students.


Student Checklist
To ensure that you are able to register for first-semester courses at orientation, complete the items on the Student Checklist BEFORE attending orientation.

Dates and Times

Freshman orientation is a one-day program. Students must participate in all activities in order to register for courses. Please plan accordingly!

​Sign up for Orientation

First-time freshmen can sign up for an orientation date by visiting their UCDAccess student portal.

1. Login to UCDAccess (www.ucdenver.edu/ucdaccess)
2. Select your Student tab 
3. Select Sign up for Orientation (right hand column)

To change your orientation reservation, repeat steps 1-3.

Parking and Location 

Parking
Park in the Tivoli Parking Garage (Parking Map) by entering 9th Street off Auraria Parkway. Parking ONLY for the Tivoli Parking Garage will be validated if you bring your ticket to the orientation check-in desk.
 
Location
All orientations will be held in North Classroom 1130 (Parking Map).
