The welcome session is a great way to learn everything you need to know about the University of Colorado Denver, Downtown Campus.

This information packed session offers you an opportunity to meet fellow students and learn about:

Registration for the welcome session is now available online.

Session Information

The Welcome Session for Transfer and Graduate Students will be held on August 14, 2012 in North Classroom 1130.

We will validate parking in TAPS (parking garage next to Tivoli Student Union). Please bring your parking stub to the orientation check-in desk for validation.

Transfer Students

Advising & Registration

Transfer students are required to meet with an advisor before registering for classes and should make an advising appointment as soon as possible after being admitted. Your advisor will review your transfer credits, discuss UC Denver degree requirements and help you choose classes for your first semester. Advisors will not be available at the Welcome.

Assessment Testing

All students who wish to take Math 1401-Calculus must take a Math placement exam through the Math Department's MERC Lab, located in North Classroom 4015. Call (303) 556-8532 for testing information and lab schedule.

Graduate Students

Welcome Graduate Students! All advising for the graduate programs is done by the department. Please contact your department for information about classes and registration. If your department is holding a specific orientation session, that information will come directly from the program.  Come visit the resource tables at the welcome.

International Students

Welcome to the University of Colorado Denver – Downtown Campus! We are looking forward to meeting you soon.

All new international students in F or J visa classification, including any transfers from other institutions within the US, are required to attend a mandatory Check-In & Essentials Session.  During the session, ISSS staff will be collecting documents and information from you that are required in order to report critical information to the US Department of Homeland Security regarding your arrival and your program of study. In addition, the session is designed to educate new students regarding immigration regulations that relate to their period of stay in the US. Also, students will be provided with information about campus services, how to obtain US social security cards and driver’s licenses, cultural adjustment issues, health services and insurance, and more.
