Now that you have been admitted to the university, it is important to complete the following steps before classes begin:
Attend orientation
Freshmen and international students are required to attend orientation. The general Welcome session is strongly encouraged for transfer, graduate and non-degree students.
Meet with your academic advisor
Each advising office has different policies about when and how to meet with your advisor for the first time. Find your advisor and learn how/when to set up an appointment.
Register for classes
Registration is done online via UCDAccess. If you are an undergraduate student classified as an in-state resident, don't forget to authorize your COF funds.
Finalize tuition payment
Make payment arrangements with the Bursar’s Office, or if you're receiving financial aid, make sure your paperwork is complete
Get your student ID card
The ID Center is located in the Tivoli Student Union, room 269. You must be registered for courses and have a print-out of your schedule with you in order to get your ID card. For more information, call (303) 556-8385.
Review the UCD Catalog
Hard copies of the catalog are no longer printed, but it can be viewed online at http://catalog.ucdenver.edu
Activate your student email account
Students are required to activate their UCD email account, which will be used for all university-related business. You will need your Student ID and PIN to activate your account.
Turn in your immunization forms
Turn your forms in to the Health Center at Auraria. Information about the UCD Immunization Policy
Housing
Student housing is located within easy walking distance of campus and the downtown Denver area. Students accepted or enrolled at UC Denver downtown campus may apply to live in Campus Village. New Freshmen who are not living at home are required to live in Campus Village. Contact Larry Loften at 303-556-3399 for more information.
Become familiar with the campus
Learn the campus, parking and transportation. We encourage you to visit campus and become familiar with it before classes begin. You may also arrange a campus tour by calling the Office of Admissions at (303) 556-2704.
Become familiar with student services on campus
