Committing time for physical exercise is just as important as planning study sessions. Check out these fitness resources in the Denver area.

Gyms & Rec Centers

Take advantage of the Auraria Rec Center – FREE to you as a student! You may need to plan your workout time strategically to get a spot, but this fully-stocked gym has a lot to offer. Peak hours are 9 to 11 a.m. and after 5 p.m. If you can get there early or in the afternoon, you’ll have more elbow room on that elliptical! Personal trainers are also available for a steal – just $17/session, or $13 if you share the trainer with a friend.
If you’d rather work out closer to home, check out our Play! Map to find a community rec center (red icons) or private gym (yellow icons) near you. Community rec centers can be a great deal. Private gyms can be more expensive, but you may be able to find some membership deals at stores like Sam’s Club.

Yoga & Movement

FREE to you as a student, you’ll find a selection of yoga and other movement classes offered through the Health Center and Campus Rec’s Healthy Moves program. Classes are held at different times throughout the week in the Tivoli Student Union and the Rec Center and are designed for drops-ins, so you can show up whenever it works for you.
You can also find a variety of yoga studios around town. Start with the selection on our Play! Map (purple icons).

Going to college is more than just classes and homework. Take the opportunity to get involved, whether through a student organization, community service, or other activity. You’ll find information about student involvement at the Office of Student Life. The Student Life website also includes other helpful information about health services and insurance, student resources, campus events, and peer mentorship.
