Center for Faculty Development

Center for Faculty Development at the University of Colorado Denver supports faculty in their roles as teachers and in their professional lives as academics.  We provide opportunities for ongoing, intentional renewal of teaching practice and support faculty as they work to build successful academic careers.

Ombuds Office

The Ombuds Office is a safe, confidential, and nonbiased resource that members of the University of Colorado-Denver can approach to discuss, voice, and clarify any university-related concerns. We are a neutral third-party resource that is available to hear individual complaints and help sort out and identify options for resolving those concerns.

Faculty Affairs and Undergraduate Enrichment

The Office of Faculty Affairs and Undergraduate Enrichment (FAUE) provides a wide variety of assistance to faculty, associate deans, deans, chairs, and other constituents on matters related to faculty processes, academic policies, awards and events, and other issues.

Office of Diversity and Inclusion

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) provides leadership to accomplish the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus's strategic priority #5: to enhance diversity university-wide and to foster a culture of inclusion. We focus on numerous elements of campus life, including: recruiting and retaining diverse students, faculty, and staff; maintaining an institutional climate of inclusiveness, respect and understanding for everyone; and expanding community-based programs to reduce health and educational disparities. We also provide oversight for diversity offices at the Denver Campus (Educational Opportunity Programs), and the Anschutz Medical Campus (Office of Inclusion and Outreach).

Office of Equity

The University employs trained staff members who have responsibility for Title IX compliance. The Title IX Coordinator oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of Title IX policies, procedures, and training efforts and will refer all complaints to a trained Title IX Investigator.

Handouts for Faculty

Below are some handouts the CARE Team has assembled for faculty on threat assessment, behavioral issues in the classroom, and useful CARE team information. We highly recommend faculty take some time to review the materials in an effort to help navigate a wide variety of classroom situations. For more useful articles, handouts, and training materials on campus threat assessment and behavior please visit the National Behavioral Intervention Team Association Free Resources (NaBITA) website as well as the JED Foundation (Suicide Prevention for College Campuses) website
