In August 2018, the Office of Inclusion and Outreach at CU Anschutz Medical Campus opened a brand-new office: The Gender & Sexuality Center, or GSC.
The GSC is charged with education, advocacy, and support on issues related to gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Our goals in our first year are:
--To establish relationships with new and existing student organizations, academic schools and colleges, and staff and faculty across the campus.
--To collect information on the experiences of Anschutz community members, with a specific emphasis on:
--To develop an education and advocacy plan that addresses the concerns and challenges of the Anschutz community
People who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer or questioning
Transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people
Women of all sexual orientations
Pregnant and parenting students, faculty, and staff
--To support LGBTQ-focused research and educational programs addressing gender, gender identiy, and sexual orientation in the health professions

Our office is in the new OASIS student center in Education 2 North, room 2101. For the fall semester, we're open on Wednesdays from 8-5, and available via phone (303) 315-7262 or by email (email@example.com) throughout the week.

Jacob earned his PhD in Education from Indiana University and has worked in the CU system since 2014. He splits his time between the CU Denver campus, where he's the Director of the Women & Gender Center, and the Anschutz campus. Contact Jacob by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Coordinator: Jamie Newton (she, her, hers)
Jamie is earning a Master's Degree in CU Denver's Master of Social Science Program, with a concentration on Women & Gender Studies. She has worked with the CU Denver Women & Gender Center since Spring 2017 and splits her time between the Denver and Anschutz campuses.
The GSC works with the following student organizations and student-led groups:
- Prism Gay Straight Alliance (website coming soon!)
- Out in Science, an outreach project promoting greater visibility of and support for LGBTQI+ people in STEM fields
- Milk & Cookies, a group for breastfeeding parents
